Environmental responsibilities
TI Education Technology expects suppliers to operate in alignment with TI Corporate values and demonstrate Environmental, Social and Governance responsibility in all areas of their operations. TI Education Technology supports the efforts of environmental and social impact by robust product design with rechargeable batteries to reduce amount of batteries in landfills, procurement of responsible-sourced components from conflict-free smelters, and usage of less plastics in new packaging designs that improves recyclability.
TI calculators and its accessories go through extensive screening and validation to ensure its products do not contain restricted substances that can cause harm to the environment after end-of-life cycle.

TI Education Technology is a steward member of national recycling programs that provide residential packaging, paper, and product recycling throughout British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec servicing through curbside, multifamily and/or depot services.
Packaging, paper and product are collected from households and recycling depots, sorted and responsibly managed and recycled. The recycling services either work directly with communities or in partnership with local governments, First Nations, private companies and other not-for-profit organizations.
The program is funded by businesses, like retailers, manufacturers and restaurants, that supply packaging, paper and products to British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec residents, shifting costs away from homeowners.
