Solution 27350: Error When Trying to Use the Conics.tns File on the TI-Nspire™ Handheld and Computer Software
Why do I receive an error when trying to input and graph conic functions using the conics.tns file on the TI-Nspire handheld and computer software?
Originally, there were two .tns files for inputting and graphing conic functions using the TI-Nspire family handheld and computer software. They were named:
- conics.tns
- conicscas.tns
The conics.tns file was for TI-Nspire family handheld and computer software users while the conicscas.tns file was for TI-Nspire CAS handheld and computer software users. Recently, the conicscas.tns file has been removed and is no longer available for download. The conics.tns file is still available for download, however, it will only work on the TI-Nspire CAS handheld and computer software.
If the user transfers the conics.tns file to the TI-Nspire handheld and computer software, this will work. However, if the user attempts to input and graph a conic function using the conics.tns file, the following error message will be displayed:
