Solution 12681: Requesting A Returned Material Authorization (RMA) Number For A Product Replacement.
How do I request a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) number for a product replacement?
In the event that you have a product that is not functioning properly, it may be necessary to return this product to Texas Instruments. This should be done after troubleshooting has been completed and you have contacted TI-Cares.
If a return is necessary, you will be issued a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number by Customer Service to expedite the return process. A RMA number is given to customers who reside in the U.S. and U.S. Territories. For other areas please contact Texas Instruments Customer Service for further instruction.
The following information is needed before a Return Material Authorization number can be issued:
• First and last name
• Complete shipping address
• Phone number
• Product name/model number
• Purchase date
• Manufacturing code(the number on the back of the device - Example: XXXXXXXXX N-1199A)
• Detailed description of the problem
If a RMA number has already been issued and you need to return additional units, please contact Customer Service so that we may issue a NEW RMA number.
Note: RMA numbers will be cancelled after 90 days with out receipt of the return. Texas Instruments will not refund any shipping costs associated with shipping products to Texas Instruments.
