What steps should I follow if I would like to use Texas Instruments Software for an Exam in an Environment with Intermittent, Low, or No Internet Access?
• Desktop Software: An initial internet connection is required to install and Sign In to the license & entitlement server. This established a session that software can be used offline. For Texas Instruments software there is a 7 days offline allowance per session. Once the session expires, you will be prompted to Sign In again to license & entitlement validation server, which requires internet connectivity. If you have intermittent, low, or no internet connectivity you will need to Sign In to the software outside of this environment where you can access the license and entitlement server to establish a new session. Information about a user’s license and when the current session will expire and require internet connectivity to Sign In is found in the software under License Info.
• Online Calculators: Online calculators require an internet connection to sign in and use. Offline usage is permitted if the application’s browser tab is not closed, exited, or signed out.
Please Note: (School Managed Accounts Only) If a student receives a VT201 error using a school assigned license, verify the student signed into the TI software using their school associated email and password and not a personal Google/Microsoft associated email.
