Solution 28290: AAA Battery Status Not Displayed When Using the TI-Nspire™ Rechargeable Battery.
Why is the status for my AAA batteries not displayed when using the TI-Nspire Rechargeable Battery for my TI-Nspire family with Touchpad handheld?
When using the TI-Nspire family with Touchpad handheld, if the TI-Nspire Rechargeable Battery is inserted before the AAA batteries, the status for the AAA batteries may not be displayed. To check the status of both the AAA batteries and the TI-Nspire Rechargeable Battery on the TI-Nspire family with Touchpad handheld, press [home] [5] [4].

To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:
1) Make sure and save all work since the next step will require the user to reset the handheld which will erase all data.
2) Flip the handheld over and press the "reset" button.
3) Once the handheld has reset and rebooted, press [home] [5] [4] and check the status of the AAA batteries.
Please Note: Before attempting to recharge a handheld, it is a good idea to update your handheld to the latest Operating System, if you have not previously done so.
