How to calculate the Mean or Median of a List using TI-Nspire Family Handhelds?
To solve the mean or median of a list, follow the examples below.
Example: Find the mean and median of {2, 4, 4, 6, 7, 9, 19}
1) Store the values to a list so you can use that with calculations.
2) From the home screen, go to the calculator option.
3) Input {2, 4, 4, 6, 7, 9, 19}
4) Press the right arrow to go outside of the brackets
5) Press [ctrl] [var] [A] [enter]
To find the mean:
1) Press [menu] [6] [3] [3]
2) Press [A] [enter]
To find the median:
1) Press [menu] [6] [3] [4]
2) Press [A] [enter]
Please Note: The calculator does not have a specific function for finding the mode of a list of data.
