Solution 32931: Computing Cross Product Using the TI-Nspire™ Family Products.
How do I compute the cross product of lists and vectors using the TI-Nspire family products?
The following example demonstrates how to compute the cross product using the TI-Nspire family products.
For Example: Find the cross product of lists {5,5.2,4} and {2,6,3}.
1) Press [ctrl] [+page].
2) Press 1: Add Calculator.
3) Press [Menu].
4) Press 7: Matrix & Vector.
5) Press C: Vector.
6) Press 2: Cross Product.
7) Press [ctrl] [{}].
8) Input [5] [,] [5] [.] [2] [,] [4].
9) Press the [Right Arrow] once.
10) Press [,] [ctrl] [{}].
11) Input [2] [,] [6] [,] [3].
12) Press [Enter].
For Example: Find the cross product of vectors [2, 2, 3] and [4, 5, 7].
1) Press [Menu].
2) Press 7: Matrix & Vector.
3) Press C: Vector.
4) Press 2: Cross Product.
5) Press [ctrl] [ [ ] ].
6) Input [2] [,] [2] [,] [3].
7) Press the [Right Arrow] once.
8) Press [,] [ctrl] [ [ ] ].
9) Press [4] [,] [5] [,] [7].
10) Press [Enter].
Please Note: List1 and List2 must have equal dimension, and the dimension must be either 2 or 3.
Both Vector1 and Vector2 must be row vectors, or both must be column vectors. Both vectors must have equal dimension, and the dimension must be either 2 or 3.
