Solution 26330: Title I School Discount Program
How can educators that are part of the Title I Program purchase calculators at a reduced price?
For more than 20 years, TI has offered a program designed to make it easier for Title I schools to address the technology needs and enrich the curriculum of minority and/or economically disadvantaged students.
The Title I School Discount Program offers special pricing on TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculators, TI-Nspire CX II, and TI-Nspire CX II CAS graphing calculators to schools with 50% or more of their students on free or reduced lunch plans. These products, sold in 10-calculator “Teacher Packs,” are covered by TI's one-year limited warranty. Each Teacher Pack contains 10 calculators, batteries, and unit-to-unit link cables. Calculators are available in multiples of 10, up to the lifetime maximum of 60 per school. Calculators are for classroom use and may not be resold.
Who can participate:
- Any Title I school may apply to receive approval to obtain specially priced calculators.
Ineligibility:
- Schools that have participated in this program in previous years and received the maximum number of calculators are ineligible. Additionally, schools that have participated in the program formally known as the BBA/SUMMA program — Benjamin Banneker Association and the Strengthening Underrepresented Minority Mathematics Achievement Program of the Mathematical Association of America — and received the maximum number of TI calculators are ineligible.
Limitations:
- Each Title I school is limited to 60 graphing calculators
- Quantities of graphing calculators are limited; orders from approved applicants will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last
