Solution 26510: Changing the Cursor on the TI-89, TI-89 Titanium, TI-92 Plus and Voyage™ 200
How do I change my cursor back to the the solid flashing box?
The TI-89, TI-89 Titanium, TI-92 Plus and Voyage 200 cursor can be changed between two different modes of operation.
When the cursor is set to "ins" or "insert" mode you can place the cursor in between items and insert text or numbers. You can see that your calculator cursor is set this way if it matches the cursor appearance below:
When the cursor is set to "del" or "delete" mode you can place over items and overwrite text or numbers. You can see that your calculator cursor is set this way if it matches the cursor appearance below:
To switch between the two cursor modes press the [2nd] key and then the [Backspace] key. This will toggle in between the two cursor modes.
