How do I correct a Syntax error when entering a complex value in polar form?

For Example: 12∠ 52

1) Enter [1] [2] [ctrl] [catalog].
2) Select [∠ ] and press [enter]. A "Syntax" error will appear.

To correct this, enter the example correctly using the steps below.

1) Press [(].
2) Press [1] [2] [ctrl] [catalog].
3) Select [∠ ] and press [enter].

4) Press [5] [2] [)].
5) Press [enter].
