How do I use the approx() function on the TI-89 family, TI-92 family, and Voyage 200 graphing calculators?

The function approx() returns the evaluation of an expression as a decimal value, when possible, regardless of the current Exact/Approx mode.

It is equivalent to entering the expression and pressing [Diamond][ENTER] on the Home screen.

Examples:

• approx(π)[ENTER] will return 3.14159
• approx({sin(π),cos(π)})[ENTER] will return {0. -1.}
