[Ý] [a-lock] |

Turn off alpha-lock |
[ALPHA] (turns off upper- and lowercase lock) |
[2nd] [CAPS] (turns off uppercase lock) |
Please Note: On the TI-89 family, [ALPHA] or alpha-lock is not needed to type x, y, z, or t. But [Ý] or uppercase ALPHA-lock must be used for X, Y, Z, or T.
Please Note: On the TI-89 family, alpha-lock is always turned off when you change applications, such as going from the Text Editor to the Home screen.
On the TI-89 family, while either type of alpha-lock is on:
• To type a period, comma, or other character that is the primary function of a key, alpha-lock must be turned off.
• To type a second function character such as [2nd] [{], alpha-lock does not need to be turned off. After typing the character, alpha-lock remains on.
Please see the TI-89 family, TI-92 family, and Voyage 200 guidebooks for additional information.
