Solution 10374: X and Y Coordinates Do Not Appear When Tracing a Function on the TI-82 Calculator.
How to display X and Y coordinates when performing function graphing on a TI-82 calculator?
When tracing a function, if the TI-82 does not display X and Y coordinates, the CoordOff mode may be activated. To try and correct this problem, please follow the steps listed below.
• Press the [WINDOW] key and scroll to the right to highlight "FORMAT".
• With FORMAT highlighted, scroll down to CoordOn and press [ENTER].
• Press the [GRAPH] key to return the graphing window. Press [TRACE] and use the left and right arrows to trace the functions. The X and Y coordinates should now be displayed on the bottom of the screen.
